Branches Return (2024)

Released in 2024, Branches Return marked Flumberico’s most experimental and socially conscious project. Written during a period of reflection and environmental activism, the EP-turned-full album blended organic sounds with electronic pop, symbolizing the reconnection between humanity and nature. It represented renewal—both personal and planetary.

The lead single, “Roots in Motion,” set the tone: a rhythmic, percussion-driven anthem inspired by the idea of finding one’s grounding amid chaos. Recorded partially in reforested areas of Scotland, it features real ambient forest sounds woven into the beat. Lila Maren described it as “a love letter to the Earth—and to ourselves.”

Another key track, “Glass Rivers,” explores the fragility of human connection in the digital age, its crystalline synths mirroring the title’s imagery. Meanwhile, “Emberlight” is a soft, haunting ballad about grief and rebirth, capturing the pain of loss and the quiet hope that follows.

“Bloom Again” closes the album on an uplifting note, returning to the optimism of Electric Bloom but with greater maturity. Its chorus—“We break, we bend, we bloom again”—has become a fan-favorite mantra, symbolizing resilience and cyclical renewal.

Musically, the album introduced more acoustic instrumentation and global influences, with Sasha Lee incorporating traditional percussion patterns from multiple cultures. The result was a sound both intimate and expansive—a reflection of the world Flumberico hoped to protect and celebrate.

Branches Return wasn’t just a record; it was a statement. By merging environmental awareness with emotional storytelling, Flumberico proved that pop could be both meaningful and transformative—a soundtrack for healing in uncertain time
